Weekend Update!

This busy week has already been a fruitful one for the stable, which bodes well for a busy ol' weekend!

Let's start with DARRS Inc's Contemplation (pictured above), who made it two wins in succession with a thoroughly professional performance under Paco Lopez at Colonial Downs yesterday.

Ridden positively, Contemplation was clear of the field by the furlong marker and won with a bit in hand in the end, suggesting there could well be more to offer next time we see this Godolphin-bred son of Street Boss.

Today at Kentucky Downs, Godolphin's Montador ran out an impressive winner of the closing Maiden Special Weight over a mile on the turf (and worth a cool $170k).

This son of Nyquist has taken a bit of time to come together, but he was impressive under a good Brian Hernandez ride and looks like he could could have a good future ahead of him. His dam was a talented graded stakes winner.

Over at Delaware Park, Pin Oak Stud's gorgeous colt King Size showed that he had made the most of a satisfactory debut earlier this month when stepping up to knuckle out a neck victory under Julio Hernandez.

Connections have been very patient with this twice-raced three-year-old son of Twirling Candy, and he'll have learned alot again through today's experience. Keep an eye out for King Size over the next few months!

As for the next few days, the Godolphin-owned Rose Room makes a big step up in class to dispute the $1 million Kentucky Downs Juvenile Fillies Stakes on Sunday, a mile turf contest at Kentucky Downs.

A really lovely winner on her debut earlier this month at Delaware Park, Rose Room is drawn 3 of 10 Sunday, with Florent Geroux set to ride. This two-year-old daughter of Ghostzapper is a 15-1 shot on the Morning Line.
