Sofia Vives is set to ride Amalfi Drive in the mile turf contest. Amalfi Drive was second last month in the Obeah Stakes, and is a 5-2 shot on the Morning Line to go one better tomorrow. Two Winners!
It's been a successful seven days for the barn, courtesy of Will of Victory and Reckless ensuring the stable remains in red hot form. Last weekend at Delaware Park, Boyd Byers's Will of Victory got into a bit of a bumping match early on in the race and was settled on the heels of the leaders by Julio Hernandez, the two then streaking away down the straight to win by 4 1/4 lengths at the wire. This daughter of War of Will was subsequently claimed out of the yard. Then today at

More Maycocks!
One month after nailing a well-deserved first graded stakes victory in the G3 Eclipse Stakes, Maycocks Bay is coming back for more in the G3 Kelso Stakes at Saratoga on Sunday - a race the Stidham barn won last year with Think Big. But before we take a look at his chances, let's wind the clock back a couple days to Practical Joker's maiden victory at Delaware Park. Mark Breen's 3-year-old son of Practical Joke didn't get the best of starts, but Julio Hernandez sat quietly an

Weekend Update!
The last 30 days have proven a rip-roaring period for the stable thanks to the graded stakes winning performances of Maycocks Bay and Luv Your Neighbor. The Stidham stable's looking to see out the month in the same fine fashion with two shots at the $150,000 Christiana Stakes at Delaware Park tomorrow, War Belle (pictured above) and Making Daisys. On the Morning Line at least, War Belle has the slightly stronger claims in this 1 and 1/8th mile race on the turf. Julio Hernande

It's turning out to be the summer of Stidham! First, Maycocks Bay runs away with the G2 Eclipse Stakes up at Woodbine, and then Lael Stables' Luv Your Neighbor (pictured) claims a well-deserved first stakes victory with a classy win in the G3 Delaware Oaks over the weekend. Given a peach of a patient ride by Luis Saez, Luv Your Neighbor was well-positioned on the heels of the leaders headed into the home turn before she kicked into gear and drew away down the stretch to win

More Luv?
The Stidham stable's barrelling into a potentially lucrative weekend of action on the back of an impressive win yesterday by Blame and Fortune for her owners, MKW Racing. This three-year-old daughter of Blame was a $300,000 yearling. With this lovely maiden vict

Mighty Maycocks!
Godolphin's wonderful Maycocks Bay (pictured above) stunned the Woodbine crowd this weekend with a scintillating front-running performance to win the $175,000 G2 Eclipse Stakes. Great Week!
What a fantastic week it's been for the stable, courtesy of four excellent winners. Let's start with last Saturday, and an across-the-card double that began with Limo at Laurel Park. DARRS Inc's four-year-old son of Uncle Mo was given a positive ride by Yedsit Hazlewood, sent very quickly into the lead, and there he stayed, passing the post 1 and 1/4 lengths too good. This was Limo's first career win on only his second start for the Stidham stable. In the process, this looks

King For a Day!
Pin Oak Stud's King Size proved well named with a commanding performance today at Laurel Park to claim his second win of the year. This four-year-old son of Twirling Candy was given a confident ride by Kentucky Derby winning rider Jose Ortiz, slick out of the gates to take a clear lead from the get-go. They didn't relinquish that lead the entire race (a mile on the turf), passing the wire a half-length too good for the rest. King Size has shown some really smart form in his f

Alan Herman, 4 G Racing and Feel the Thunder Stable's Benji Star secured his fourth career victory in stunning fashion on Friday at Charles Town. Nearer last than first after the break, Benji Star swept to the lead at the quarter pole and never looked back, passing the wire under Julio Hernandez 7 1/2 lengths too good. Benji Star has been a wonderful servant for connections since making his debut in January of 2024, finishing in the first three in seven of his 11 starts and e

After the excitement of last weekend, when the stable's Luv Your Neighbor put up her latest barn-storming performance when an honorable runner-up in the G2 Eight Belles Stakes at Churchill Downs, this weekend's a little quieter. But before we take a look at the entries over the next couple of days, let's first make note of another excellent performance last weekend, and that concerns the fine win by Amalfi Drive, on the Churchill undercard. This four-year-old daughter of Meda

Contemplation Again!
JJE Thoroughbreds' Contemplation (pictured above) won his second race of the season over the weekend, with a cozy victory at Laurel Park. Ridden by Angel Cruz, Contemplation got into a bit of scrimmaging leaving the gate and was well back for the first half of the five and a half furlong sprint. But he flew down the stretch to win by 1 and 1/2 lengths at the wire. This five-year-old son of Street Boss (bred by Godolphin), Contemplation has been a great servant for the barn ov
