Weekend Update!

DARRS Inc's Union Bulldog brought up two consecutive wins this year with a thoroughly professional performance at Colonial Downs Wednesday under Paco Lopez

This four-year-old son of Goldencents did it the hard way, breaking on top end never relinquishing the lead to score by a length at the wire.

Union Bulldog is in such fine form at the moment, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him continue to build on his fine record this year.

It's a relatively quiet weekend of action for the stable, but the team includes the smart Central Avenue, who's drawn 1 of 10 in the $100,000 Twixt Stakes at Laurel Park tomorrow.

As a two-year-old, Central Avenue was second in the G1 Frizette Stakes and third in the G2 Golden Rod Stakes. She's found life tougher since then, but still retains plenty of ability, and is a Morning Line 8-1 shot to do the business tomorrow in the mile contest. Julio Hernandez takes the mount.
