Weekend Update!

A busy weekend of racing has the Stidham stable eyeing up a cross-country stakes race double.

Let's start with Amalfi Drive, who is lined up for a second shot at a first stakes victory in the $100,000 Maggie L. Walker Stakes, drawn one of eight, tomorrow at Colonial Downs. Sofia Vives is set to ride Amalfi Drive in the mile turf contest.

Amalfi Drive was second last month in the Obeah Stakes, and is a 5-2 shot on the Morning Line to go one better tomorrow.

At Woodbine on Sunday, King Size and Maycocks Bay both line up in the $200,000 G2 bet365 Connaught Cup Stakes, a turf sprint over 7 and 1/2 furlongs.

Sofia Vives takes the mount on the admirable Maycocks Bay, and seeks to rekindle the magic of their last time out victory in the G2 Eclipse Stakes at the same track. Together, they're a 5-2 shot on the Morning Line.

John Velazquez rides the exciting King Size, who is seeking a first major graded stakes win. Drawn 1 of 8, King Size is a 6-1 shot.
