Alan Herman, 4 G Racing and Feel the Thunder Stable's Benji Star secured his fourth career victory in stunning fashion on Friday at Charles Town.
Nearer last than first after the break, Benji Star swept to the lead at the quarter pole and never looked back, passing the wire under Julio Hernandez 7 1/2 lengths too good.
Benji Star has been a wonderful servant for connections since making his debut in January of 2024, finishing in the first three in seven of his 11 starts and earning (so far) $164,000.
In doing so, this five-year-old son of Upstart has more than repaid his price-tag of $100,000, fetched at the 2023 Ocala Breeders' Sales June Two-Year-Olds and Horses of Racing Age Sale.
Clearly in great heart at present, Benji Star looks nailed on to keep adding to this fine resume!
