Triple Delight!

What a wonderful few days this past weekend was for the stable, courtesy of three victories couched against an admirable performance or two.

Things got off to a great start on Friday, with a double at Colonial Downs.

DARRS Inc's Dawn After Dawn got the ball rolling in great fashion under Samuel Marin, leading for most of the way before knuckling down to nose out a win at the wire. Really great stuff.

This was Dawn After Dawn's first win for the barn, after the owners claimed her at Turfway Park at the end of last year. Clearly with lots left to give, this four-year-old daughter of Complexity is yet another shrewd purchase for connections.

Three races later, Mt. Brilliant Stable homebred Blond Roast broke her maiden in similar fashion to Dawn After Dawn, taking the race by the scruff of the neck under Paco Lopez before passing the wire 3/4 of a length too good.

Blond Roast finished an eye-catching second on her debut last month, and showed this time that she'd learned much from the experience, rewarding the connections' patience in the process.

This four-year-old daughter of Medaglia d'Oro is out of the talented graded-stakes winning Strike Charmer. This win will have done Blond Roast's paddock value a tremendous boost indeed.

Yesterday at Kentucky Downs, Speedway Stables' Epic Style (pictured above) pocketed a very nice check indeed when running away with a valuable Allowance Optional Claiming race under Brian Hernandez.

This four-year-old daughter of Good Magic has always shown herself to be a talented filly. And now with this competitive little race under her belt (her third career victory), it probably wouldn't be a surprise to see her step back up again in class at some point.
