Double Delight!

With the stable in such excellent form at present, hopes are high for the chances of a couple big race performers at Colonial Downs tomorrow.

But before we examine their races, let's take a look at a lovely win this week for owners DARRS Inc., courtesy of Streetcorner, who broke her maiden with great gusto at Colonial Downs on Wednesday.

Showing real enthusiasm with blinkers on, Streetcorner took the lead at the top of the stretch under Ben Curtis and just held on for the win at the wire by a neck.

This 3-year-old daughter of Street Boss will have done her paddock value no harm indeed with this nice victory under her belt.

And now for the weekend.

Tomorrow at the same track, stable foavorite Dream Shake is drawn 8 of 14 in the $150,000 Da Hoss Stakes, a 5 1/2 furlong turf sprint.

On his first run of the year last month, Dream Shake produced a bang-up performance to claim the Van Clief Stakes at the same venue. The Morning Line has him a 7-2 shot to double up in this race under Ben Curtis.

Later on the same card,  Distorted d'Oro is drawn 5 of 13 in the $250,000 Virginia Oaks, a 1 and 1/8th turf race.

In only three races to date, Distorted d'Oro has shown herself a very talented filly indeed, winning twice along with a third place finish in the Searching Stakes last time. Under Curtis, Distorted d'Oro is a 15-1 shot to claim her first winning slice of Black Type.
