Great Week!

What a fantastic week it's been for the stable, courtesy of four excellent winners.

Let's start with last Saturday, and an across-the-card double that began with Limo at Laurel Park.

DARRS Inc's four-year-old son of Uncle Mo was given a positive ride by Yedsit Hazlewood, sent very quickly into the lead, and there he stayed, passing the post 1 and 1/4 lengths too good.

This was Limo's first career win on only his second start for the Stidham stable. In the process, this looks like yet another really smart purchase by the owners, who are long-time supporters of the stable.

Over at Laurel Park, Good Willie made his career breakthrough for owners Small Batch Thoroughbreds under Julio Hernandez, galloping away with a tidy-little maiden claiming race to win by four lengths.

This three-year-old son of Hard Spun took a couple races at Fair Grounds earlier this year to get the hang of things, but the penny dropped in no uncertain terms this time round on his first start for the yard.

Small Batch Thoroughbreds enjoyed another winner yesterday at Penn National when Apollo Eleven also broke his maiden in even more stunning fashion (winning by nearly nine lengths) under Julio Hernandez.

Apollo Eleven had shown talent in five prior starts, but on his first start for Stidham, this three-year-old gelding put it all together in scintillating fashion, suggesting there's plenty more to come.

And then over at Delaware Park yesterday, War Belle nailed her second career victory for owner-breeders Dixiana Farms with a lovely performance under Hernandez.

War Belle led start to finish, and crossed the wire 2 and 1/2 lengths too good. This well-bred daughter of War of Will certainly possesses the talent to keep building off of this second win.
