It's an unusually quiet weekend for the stable, with no runners lined up over the next few days. But that's not to say there's no good news to share!
Last weekend, Godolphin's Montador showed himself a colt fast on the upgrade with his second career victory at Churchill Downs.
Ridden fairly prominently by jockey Tyler Gaffalione, Montador was delivered with a wet sail at the top of the stretch before drawing away to win by two lengths at the wire.
An exciting son of top sire Nyquist, Montador has improved with every run this year. He broke his maiden in August (for a princely sum at Kentucky Downs), and was only just touched off last time out in a nice allowance at Keeneland.
His dam, Lady Montador, was a top-class, G2 winning mare for Godolphin, and it'll be exciting to see what's next on the agenda for her three-year-old son.
