Lael Stables' Luv Your Neighbor was a gutsy winner on her debut at Colonial Downs on Wednesday, ekeing out a nose victory under Jevian Toledo.
Nicely positioned on the heels of the leaders, Luv Your Neighbor really stuck to her guns down the homestretch, catching the longtime leader right on the wire.
This two-year-old daughter of Constitution was an expensive yearling purchase last September, setting connections back $350,000. But this debut victory showed that Luv Your Neighbor holds tremendous promice indeed.
Here's the stable's weekend entries (as per Equibase):
Saturday
Colonial Downs
Sal's Blue Jacket - Race 9, Handicap
Delaware Park
Conch Fried Rice - Race 3, Starter Allowance
Lady Vintage - Race 6, Maiden Claiming $16,000
