It's Breeders' Cup week, the eyes of the racing world are zeroed in on Santa Anita, and the tension is palpable - especially in the Stidham barn!
That's because stable superstar Proxy is gearing up for the race of his life in the G1 Breeders' Cup Classic, this Saturday.
Godolphin's homebred son of Tapit arrived at the Southern California track a couple of days ago, and he's settling in nicely, as you can see in the video below.
Proxy has already enjoyed a helluva season, winning the G2 Oaklawn Handicap, the G3 Monmouth Stakes, along with a couple fantastic second place finishes in G1s, the Santa Anita "Big Cap" Handicap, and the Jockey Club Gold Cup.
The Breeders' Cup Classic poses arguably his biggest challenge to date, but the trainer couldn't be happier with the horse, who will retire after the race to stand at Darley's Jonabell Farm in 2024.
