Oaks Day Luv!

It's Kentucky Oaks day at Churchill Downs, and the Stidham stable's represented on the card thanks to Luv Your Neighbor (pictured above), all set to go in the $700,000 G2 Eight Belles Stakes presented by Sysco.

Drawn 7 of 9, Luv Your Neighbor has Luis Saez on board for this seven furlong race, and together they're a 6-1 shot on the Morning Line.

While she hasn't yet won a black type race, Luv Your Neighbor been knocking on the door for a while. Indeed, in her last two starts alone she was third in the G2 Fair Ground Oaks (over a trip probably a little further than optimal), and second in the G2 Rachel Alexandra Stakes, beaten only half-a-length.

This daughter of Constitution has shown a race like this is more than within her compass, and this slight drop in trip should suit her admirably.

Tomorrow at Belmont At The Big A, the exciting Montador is drawn 3 of 5 in the $175,000 G3 Fort Marcy Stakes, over 1 and 1/8th miles on the turf.

With Jose Lezcano on board, Montador is a 9-2 shot on the Morning Line to win his first graded stake. Although, like Luv Your Neighbor, he's been knocking on the door for a race of this type for a while.

Indeed, just two starts back Montador finished second in the G3 Fair Ground Stakes in Louisiana.
