Weekend Update!

The Stidham stable enjoyed a super Saturday courtesy of a brace of wins at Colonial Downs, Fond of You and Sal's Blue Jacket (pictured above).

Godolphin's Fond of You got the ball rolling with a very impressive debut victory indeed under Francisco Arrieta, jumping straight into the lead and never relinquishing it, stretching away to pass the post over five lengths to the good.

This two-year-old daughter of Street Sense is out of the talented Hallie Belle, who Stidham trained to a couple stakes victories in 20217 and 2018. Clearly, Fond of You is a name to keep an eye on during the second half of the season.

Three races later, Hinkle Farms homebred Sal's Blue Jacket claimed a third career victory in near identical fashion, setting the pace right out the gate before coming home two lengths in front of the next horse home.

This lovely five-year-old mare stripped fitter from a seasonal debut last month, and now with this nice confidence booster under her belt, she's yet another Stidham trainee looking locked and loaded for the months ahead.
