Weekend Update!

This weekend promises to be a little bit quieter than usual for the stable, so, let's use this opportunity to look back at a set of fine performances last weekend at Fair Grounds.

The MVP is, of course, Luv Your Neighbor (pictured above), Lael Stables' three-year-old daughter of Constitution who was only just touched off in the G2 Rachel Alexandra Stakes after a scintillating stretch battle with eventual winner, Bella Ballerina.

This Kentucky Oaks trial looked right up to par. Indeed, the winner has shot towards the head of the Oaks betting with the Stidham runner snapping at their heels.

Luv Your Neighbor (a $350k yearling) has put up really nice back-to-back performances in her last three starts (all in stakes races), and while she didn't manage to get her head in front, she showed a great battling attitude each time. Her turn is surely just around the corner.

One race earlier, Godolphin's Montador showed that he's still on an upward curve when running an excellent second in the G3 Fair Grounds Stakes. His effort is even more commendable considering he was short of room at a crucial point in the race, allowing eventual winner Lagynos to get first run.

This four-year-old son of Nyquist is still lightly raced, and, like Luv Your Neighbor, he looks nailed on to get back to winning ways very soon.

Here are the stable's weekend entries, as per Equibase:
