Among the stable's action this weekend is the next step along the steep learning curve for Susan Naylor's Loch Fyne in the Allen Black Cat LaCombe Memorial Stakes at Fair Grounds tomorrow.
The $100,000 LaCombe Memorial is a one and 1/16th mile turf race with 11 entries. Loch Fyne is drawn 5 under Mitchell Murrill, and the Morning Line have them as an 8-1 shot.
The three-year-old daughter of War of Will only made her racecourse debut in December at the same track, finishing a good second. Two races later, Loch Fyne broke her maiden over course and distance showing real guts and great fortitude in the process.
While this is by far Loch Fyne's toughest assignment to date, a big run is expected.
