The Stidham stable's double handed in both divisions of this weekend's Fasig-Tipton Sandy Bottom Stakes at Colonial Downs, with Amalfi Drive and Conch Fried Rice doing double duty, one in each race.
This mile race worth $100,000 has seven runners in the first division (race 6 on tomorrow's card), and Amalfi Drive is drawn 4 with Jevian Toledo on board.
This four year-old daughter of Medaglia d'Oro has shown a good level of form in five prior starts, and while tomorrow is her toughest task to date, a big run is expected. She's a 12-1 shot on the Morning Line.
One race later on the Colonial card, Conch Fried Rice (pictured in the video above) is drawn 4 of 7 in the second division of the race, again with Toledo on board.
Conch Fried Rice is a tough and battle hardened four-year-old filly with plenty of wins and fine runs to her name. A 6-1 shot on the Morning Line, this looks just the type of race that''s within her compass, adding a boost to her paddock value in the process.
