The grand old boy Gray's Fable is seeking a little more big race success when lining up in tomorrow's Jonathan B. Schuster Memorial Stakes at Horseshoe Indianapolis.
The nine-year-old is drawn 2 of 11 in the turf contest over 1 and 1`/16th miles. Brian Hernandez takes the mount. Together, they're a 5-1 chance on the Morning Line.
Gray's Fable has been a wonderful horse down through the years, and a multiple stakes winner, too, including the 2021 running of the G3 Kitten's Joy Appelton Stakes.
Having joined the Stidham stable earlier this year, Gray's Fable has been steadily recapturing his old sparkle, as evinced with a lovely win last time out at Churchill Downs - his first victory since August of 2022.
Gray's Fable is more than capable of willing a race like tomorrow's Jonathan B. Schuster Memorial Stakes. If he puts his best foot forward, and with a little luck in running, hopes are high among connections for another good showing.
