Weekend Update!

From everyone here at Stidham Racing, we hope you're enjoying a wonderful festive period. What would make it even better? A few Stidham-trained winners, that's what!

The headline acts over the next couple of days are spearheaded by Juris Doctor and Montador (pictured above), drawn 3 and 6 respectively in tomorrow's Woodchopper Stakes, a $100,000 turf race over 1 and 1/16th miles at Fair Grounds.

The lightly raced Juris Doctor will be ridden by Axel Conception. A 3-1 shot on the Morning Line, this will be Juris Doctor's first try at black type.

Montador, a 2-1 shot on the Morning Line, will be ridden by Brian Hernandez. With a couple nice wins already to his name this year (including for a tidy purse at Kentucky Downs), Montador is similarly seeking his first slice of career black type.

Over at Turfway Park tomorrow, Energize is drawn 9 of 9 in the $125,000 Last Hurrah Stakes, over 1 and 1/8 miles.

Steadily improving all year, Energize is also looking to take a timely step up in class. Joseph Ramos takes the mount on the 9/2 Morning Line shot.
